 The sector strategy
 (extract from the French Forestry Cooperative charter)

The forestry cooperative durably joins together coherent group forestry production.

It is concerned with:

TIMBER PRODUCTION
as a privileged economic agent for sylviculture forestry owners who believe in the notion of heritage as well as of "WOOD PRODUCERS".

within the field of "WOOD FARMING FORESTS"
as a true interface between the fields of the forest and that of industry, fitting in between upstream and downstream at all the economic levels governing the branch.

in THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT
through its participation in regional development and its recognition in the agricultural and rural world as an economic agent for durable management of areas.

The forestry cooperative undertakes:

to develop and valorise private forestry production and, by this means, to ensure the economic defence of the forestry heritage;

to reinforce the image and economic interests of the “wood farming forest” field.

To this aim, it must encourage actions tending to group, classify, present harvests that are very diverse, both in quality and in quantity, so as to offer the various markets in the field a sufficient STRATEGIC VOLUME to enable it to be recognised as a true economic actor.

Concurrently, it must contribute to the elaboration, the putting into practice and the follow-up of durable management rules. It will improve life in the rural world through defending local jobs and the quality of the environment, thereby enabling the forest to carry out its social and ecological function..

The global strategy of this charter rests on four essential values:

1- PROFICIENCY and the quest for quality in all fields

- with regard to management and administrative procedures
- with regard to the services brought to the forestry owner members
- with regard to the products sold;

2- COMMITMENT TO THE UNDERTAKINGS

A condition necessary for credibility, economic efficiency and productivity, it is the basis for every concerted action with the professionals of the branch.

3- CLARITY

This must govern all relations with members through the General Meetings, Boards of Directors and relations with the personnel.
It guarantees durable credibility founded on mutual confidence. This clarity will take place between the cooperative members and, notably, within the French Forestry Cooperative Union.

4- SOLIDARITY

Between all the cooperative members, who must organise their relations with a view to being complementary, which in itself shows their difference compared to other industrial and commercial firms in the sector.
